Dr Henri Vandendriessche

Dr Henri Vandendriessche

His research lies at the crossroads of affective value-based decision-making, computational psychiatry, and now collective behaviour. Using reinforcement learning models applied to humans, Henri tries to shed light on inter-individual differences and group dynamics in group decision-making.

Dr Katja Sangati

Dr Katja Sangati

Katja is a cognitive scientist working on collective adaptivity: the capacity of collective systems to maintain themselves in dynamic environments. Her toolbox is conceptual analysis, agent-based simulations and behavioral experiments.

Dr Ryutaro Mori

Ryutaro studies collective intelligence, drawing on economics, psychology, and cognitive science. He is currently most excited about how different institutions (such as incentive schemes and social norms) operate across varying timescales to help people cooperate and coordinate effectively.

Dr Seiya Nakata

Seiya studies cultural evolution with a background in social psychology and cognitive science. Using experiments and agent-based simulations, he studies how individual learning, social learning, and social structure shape cultural change.

Jingyu G. Xi

Jingyu G. Xi

Jing uses a combination of computational modeling and behavioral experiments to understand the emergence of collective intelligence (…or stupidity) in diverse network topologies. Her main research interest is driven by the goal of achieving a deeper understanding of the co-evolution of the two complex systems: network and collective dynamics.

Tsuyoshi Shimodaira

Tsuyoshi is a JRA fellow co-supervised by Dr Hisashi Ohtsuki (SOKENDAI). Using formal math models, he studies on the evolution of teaching strategies.
